About the position

Professionals Nord is seeking an automation engineer on behalf of Lämneå Bruk. You will be employed by Professionals Nord and work as a consultant at Lämneå Bruk for 6 months. The idea is that you will eventually be able to transition to a direct employment with the company, provided that the collaboration works well.

About the role

In the role of automation engineer, you will work operationally on various projects and be involved in programming, testing, and commissioning the company’s machines and systems. You will collaborate with others in the team and the organization and contribute to ensuring that the work is performed with high quality and in accordance with applicable routines and safety regulations.
 

Your tasks include, among other things:

• Working with PLC programming, HMI, and drive technology (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, Starter)
• Participating in testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of machines and automation solutions
• Following established routines, working methods, and safety regulations
• Participating in communication and collaboration with other departments as needed
• Introducing new employees and interns to the technical work
• Identifying technical improvement areas and suggesting measures

Working hours are flexible during the day. 
Since the position involves travel, we are looking for a person who is also comfortable traveling internationally in the role. 

We are looking for someone who:

• Has practical education in automation or equivalent work experience
• Has a few years of experience in similar work and has good knowledge in the field
• Has experience with PLC, HMI, and drive technology
• Is computer literate
• Has experience in an industrial environment
• Can communicate in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
• Has a B driver's license and access to a car

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with other control systems, such as Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Beijer, or Lenze
• Experience working with end customers
• Experience with business travel
